The University of Vigo (UVigo) has hosted the congress «Floods 2022«, a summit with more than 60 experts who studied how to improve the prevention and response to floods in Spain through modernisation and efficiency in this field. The event, in which GEAMA participated, brought together universitites and research centres with river basin authorities from all over the country and other administrations to advance prevention and response tools to mitigate the impact of floods. The congress was organised by the Environmental Physics Laboratory group (Ephyslab – Mariña Research Centre) of the UVigo with the support of the Miño-Sil River Basin Administration.
GEAMA researchers presented the advances being made in Iber in both hydrological and hydraulic modelling.
