The «Multi-scale hYbrid short-term predictions and climate projections systems for compound FLOODing» (MYFLOOD) project, coordinated by GeoOcean group of the Universidad de Cantabria (UC), held its second working group meeting at the end of June in A Coruña. This event was organised by the GEAMA during the 27th and 28th of June at Center of Technological Innovation in Construction and Civil Engineering (CITEEC) of the Universidade da Coruña.

MyFlood project aims to enhance the understanding and prediction of compound flooding in coastal areas. It focuses on both regional and local scales, as well as short-term forecasts and long-term projections of climate change. The project aims to develop methods and tools to characterize coastal areas in terms of compound flooding drivers, assess their impacts and associated risks, identify vulnerable areas, and model compound flooding with high-resolution models. It also incorporates the effects of climate change and morphological changes to provide valuable climate services and evaluate socio-economic consequences. Ultimately, MyFlood seeks to advance knowledge and improve risk assessment related to compound flooding in coastal regions.
